Jean has a passion for capturing the character of every face that she paints.She has a genuine love for the people she meets everywhere from all walks of life. This is never more evident than in her collection of portraits.
Her extensive travelling has given her an insight into the facial features of people and their culture from all over the world. Her passion for painting old faces is obvious as she eagerly explores the value behind each line... or the twinkle in the eye of a child as she tries to re create their precious innocence.
True worth in life comes from within us all, kindness and love which is evident in all of Jean's work. A portrait of a child for example will show the love between the parent and their little one which is the emotion Jean strives to capture.
Jean feels that there has to be an emotional connection if a portrait painting is be successful.
