Jean has a strong love of animals and has had the opportunity to observe a variety of species in their own natural habitat. From giraffes and wildlife in Africa to camels in the Middle East. Farms in Europe provide wonderful subjects especially a favourite of ducks,roosters and sheep. All creatures have their own unique fascination to the artist. Always working minus the use of a preliminary sketch,bold brushstrokes and vibrant colour add excitement to each new painting.
Awarded the Anthony J Lester Art Critic award at the Society of Women Artists Annual Exhibition 2009 at the Mall Galleries in.London for "Morning Calls". Jeans collection of cockerel paintings are fast becoming an art collectors favourite.

Winning cockerels can be seen and purchased at the Peter Hedley Gallery in Wareham Dorset.
The next exhibition will be at the Market Street Gallery in Alton,Hampshire in March 2010.
