Trying to capture a movement and the excitement or emotion behind it is a wonderful challenge in any medium or art form. In watercolour however the essence of the subject can be captured in so many incredible ways..
It isn't about just creating the peaceful feeling that can be felt from admiring the quiet calm of a landscape or still life. It's about feeling what is happening in front of you as an artist and trying to take the person who might be viewing the finished painting to that moment in time. Helping them feel as though they were there or involved in the scene.
It's a form of creating a harmony of minds.
